A Christmas of solidarity
The volunteer programme organised by CRAL Saras (the company’s leisure club), which has been ongoing for some years now, has been renewed with the aim of actively contributing to the social growth of communities through dedicated initiatives, in collaboration with some important charities .
This year again, CRAL Saras worked to organise the Sunday lunch before Christmas at the Caritas of Cagliari soup kitchen.
Volunteers carefully selected and purchased all the necessary ingredients to create a menu suited not only to the theme but also to the various nationalities and eating habits of the guests.
On Sunday morning, the volunteers met at the Caritas soup kitchen on Viale Fra Ignazio and, donning their aprons, prepared an excellent menu, from appetizers to dessert, designed together with the Caritas chef.
This year more than 130 meals were served for lunch, and another 70 meals were served for dinner and delivered at other distribution points to the many families assisted by Caritas.
CRAL promises to repeat the initiative again next Easter.

December also saw the return of the event to help fund scientific research and assistance to patients with haematological diseases through the purchase of poinsettias from AIL, the Italian Association against Leukemia-lymphoma and Myeloma.
Once again this year, Saras purchased solidarity greeting cards from the Children in Crisis Italy Onlus as part of the initiative School is the future, dedicated to bringing education, care and protection to children around the world who are victims of conflict, poverty or other situations of severe hardship.
