A Christmas of solidarity 2023
Being an integral part and an ally of the local community is one of the values shared by the Saras Group people. For many years now, on the Sunday before Christmas, volunteers from the CRAL (the staff social club) and the Solidarity Fund volunteered to prepare and distribute meals at the Caritas soup kitchen in Cagliari.
Once again this year, in order to best prepare for the event, the volunteers selected and purchased ingredients for a menu that was both tasty and sensitive to cultural and religious differences.
On Sunday morning, everyone came together and, with the help of the charity’s chef, prepared a delicious lunch, from starters to desserts.
This year more than 130 meals were served for lunch and dinner, while many others were distributed to the families assisted by Caritas.
Other solidarity initiatives, during the Christmas period involved the company and its employees: at the Sarlux refinery, the Group and employees supported the Italian Association against Leukaemia-lymphoma and Myeloma (AIL) by purchasing poinsettias.
In addition, following an established tradition, Saras purchased solidarity greeting cards from Children in Crisis Italy Onlus, a charity that provides education, assistance and protection to children in need around the world.
The Saras Group and its employees are committed to social projects that create value for the community.
