To act as a constant driver of value creation in the local area, the Group, through Sartec, together with the Associazione Italiana Di Ingegneria Chimica (AIDIC) and other Sardinian companies, has awarded prizes to the best undergraduate students and graduates of three-year degrees in Chemical Engineering – who were the winners of the “Merit Award 2021” – Mariano Casu, Chiara Nurchis, Elisa Pibiri, Laura Piras, and Leonardo Sibono – organised by the University of Cagliari in collaboration with the Sardinian section of AIDIC (Italian Chemical Engineering Association).
The award ceremony took place online and was broadcast live at the students’ graduation.
The coordinator of the Chemical Engineering Degree Course of the Department of Mechanical, Chemical and Materials Engineering thanked the sponsoring companies: Sartec of the Saras Group, Ecotec and the craft brewery Hop Us Est! for their support of the students’ training, and the Sardinian Section of AIDIC for undertaking the initiative, aimed at strengthening the collaboration between the university, the association and businesses.
Congratulations and good luck to all the young engineers in their future activities!
“
I believe that this initiative has been of fundamental importance in terms of the training of us students and in spurring us on to do our best.
Personally, I found it very motivating to talk about my dissertation (hydrogen production from renewable sources) in relation to the interests of the company.
I would also like to say that I was extremely honoured to receive an award from a company of Sartec’s calibre.
Finally, I would like to thank Sartec and the other companies that provide this opportunity as a reward for our hard work.
