Promoting the future

One of the objectives that the Saras Group is most committed to is spreading the culture of business and making people understand its value and importance, which is why it promotes various training activities for students by actively collaborating with schools.

Over 70 students from the “Buccari – Marconi” Higher Education Institute participated in the past few days in a “Transversal Skills and Orientation” (PCTO) course, specifically designed by experts and managers of the Saras Group and aimed at illustrating the complex system of technological innovation that develops in an industrial Group and how useful it is for entering the world of work.

During the visits to the Sarlux refinery, after a general introduction suitable for all participants, topics directly linked to the different study plans were explored. The students from the “Buccari” Technical Institute for Transport and Logistics addressed topics regarding fuels for ships, bunkering activities and dock activities; the students from the “G. Marconi” instead have explored topics related to energy, with particular attention to the energy transition and the production of electricity from the IGCC.

The initiative also saw students analyze specific experiences – linked to their educational addresses – in the related companies belonging to the Sarroch territorial network, such as Entusa, specialized in the overhaul of turbines and in the maintenance and construction of numerous types of valves, including large ones; Eso which focuses its activity on electrical systems, safety systems, industrial, civil, thermo-technical and port systems; the CEMIS Consortium, competent in systems and storage tanks in the Oil & Gas, Power, Chemical and Petrochemical sectors and Italteleco, expert in the design of pressure systems, intelligent 3D modeling, digital twin management of industrial systems and installation and maintenance of electro-instrumental systems and data networks.

Great attention and enthusiasm from students and teachers of the two institutes for a project that allowed them to see up close the peculiarities of companies that work together every day to create value.

The PCTO has promoted knowledge, skills and professional standards capable of making young people promoters of a social development that cannot ignore the issues of work, sustainability and economic growth.
