Saras for the school

Together to design the future

The right to education is a value that leads to cultural growth, development and well-being, it means giving everyone the opportunity to have the tools for their own fulfillment. This is why Saras believes in and is committed to initiatives and projects useful for supporting young people and has activated various paths to meet the school’s requests and contribute effectively.

The Library classroom

In the context of the “Saras for the School“ activities, starting from 2023, the library project has taken hold and in June, at the end of this school year, the new library classroom was inaugurated, which the Comprehensive Institute was able to create through the PNRR “Next Generation Classroom” and thanks to the books donated by Saras. Starting from the 2024/2025 academic year, the reading laboratories for all the students of the institute will be fully operational.

Textbooks

For the 120 students of the lower secondary school of the Comprehensive Institute of Sarroch and Villa San Pietro, Saras, like every year, donated textbooks. In the name of sustainability and the circular economy, the books are delivered on loan for use and assigned at the end of the year to the students who will come, except in cases where new editions must be adopted.

The end-of-year party:
sports and cultural competitions

To close the school year, the primary schools of the municipalities of Sarroch, Pula, Capoterra, Villa San Pietro and Domus de Maria, with the collaboration of the Saras Group, organized the 2024 Games for Children at the Pula sports field.

322 girls and boys participated in the event, divided into teams distinguished by shirts of different bright colors, and experienced a day dedicated to sports competitions and educational activities aimed at raising awareness on the issues of recycling and the circular economy.

The young students greatly appreciated the lively and cheerful interactions with Pully, the Cagliari Calcio Academy mascot present throughout the Games.

For us, Sarlux’s support in this type of initiative is fundamental and above all it is an emblem of the path that we have been pursuing together for the last three years. A path that aims to create culture, community and sharing within the territory. Paying special attention to the little ones is in this sense a duty and a necessity: we are in fact firmly convinced that real change begins with them. With them, through play and sharing, we want to work to cultivate a new cultural and environmental sensitivity that makes them feel an integral and active part of the place where they live.

Especially in this period in which our students spend so much time staring at “screens”, a breath of fresh air can be had in sports activities or by reading a good book. In sports, observing the “schemes” of the game, like those seen several times at the sports hall with the Sarroch volleyball players’ matches, in reading, traveling with the imagination and immersing oneself in wonderful stories. Sports activities, even in the form of games, and reading stimulate the mind and body to be better and make us participants and close.

The Group supports local schools with initiatives that, every year, involve students from schools of all levels with workshops and meetings dedicated to university students, seminars and special events related to the world of teaching for high school students, also organized in collaboration with other cultural institutions.
