Sarlux 2024 Environmental Statement

The activity of the Saras Group has always been characterized by a strong focus on sustainability, through initiatives and investments aimed at limiting emissions and increasing the energy efficiency of the Sarroch refinery with the aim of contributing to achieving the European decarbonization objectives.

Since 2008, Sarlux has voluntarily adhered to the community eco-management and audit system EMAS and since 2009 the Group has published the Environmental Statement annually.

The compliance of environmental data with the EMAS regulations is, before publication, certified by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance and approved by the Ministry of the Environment.

The 2024 Environmental Statement certifies all the energy that the Sarlux refinery dedicates to the creation of sustainable value with the application of advanced technologies that allow to maximize the refining performance while ensuring sustainability and respect for the environment.

The document represents one of the main tools for continuous dialogue with stakeholders inside and outside the company, and has the objective of establishing a transparent relationship in particular with the population, local authorities and workers, an active part of the correct management of the activities carried out.

Such complete communication promotes awareness of all the safety, health and environmental protection measures that make the Sarroch industrial site a source of wealth, for the community of which it is an integral part.
