The Saras Group’s Sustainability Report 2022

Saras describes in detail its sustainability strategy, based on ongoing commitment to environmental, social and governance issues, by publishing each year the Group Sustainability Report. Besides fulfilling a statutory reporting obligation, this document is one of the ways through which we engage with stakeholders, with whom Saras has long established mutual dialogue, in a context of mutual commitments and responsibilities that are key for our shared development.

The Saras Group’s Sustainability Report 2022 has been prepared in accordance with Legislative Decree 254/2016 and the recent 2021 edition of the GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) standards, including those specific to the Oil & Gas sector (GRI 11).

The Saras Group’s Sustainability Report 2022 is now in its sixth year of publication and clearly sets out the actions taken by the Group to pursue our corporate strategies and objectives to constantly increase the sustainability of our business model. It also describes how we manage the economic, environmental and social impacts generated directly and indirectly by the Group’s activities.

The Sustainability Report, introduced by a letter to stakeholders from Chairman Massimo Moratti, is divided into five chapters:

  •   Sustainability at Saras
  •   The identity of the Saras Group
  •   Our people
  •   Sustainable energy
  •   The impact on the territory.

The report is completed by an analysis of the geopolitical context, a methodological note and the “GRI content index”.

Over the years, we have implemented an array of effective actions to make our operations sustainable, shrinking their environmental footprint, while always protecting the health and safety of our people and of the communities that host us and develop with us.

We will continue to engage in transparent and constructive dialogue with our stakeholders, focusing in particular on the issues of primary importance in the context of our social responsibility, which most impact our ability to create value and which arouse the greatest interest both within and outside the Group.
